18 weeks

Dear Sweet potato,

Holy moly! You are as long as a sweet potato! I told that to Papa and his expression was priceless. We both can't believe how big you are, how real you are. We've checked your heartbeat quite a bit this week. Mostly because I am crazy paranoid (my night terrors don't help. sad face). I've felt you roll around on my left side, and my left side is very hard. It's extremely weird in an amazing way to see/feel my body changing. I honestly am in awe of The Lord's hand in making you. It's such a blessing to be apart of this process. I just can't wait to feel your little kicks.

We are two weeks (more like a week and a half) away from being at the half point. Which is really exciting. That means I could meet you in four months! Wow. Also because we are almost to the half point, I made your 20 week appointment for next week. The major ultrasound where they measure you, make sure you are growing like you should, AND we will finally get to see what you are. No hiding this time! Papa even got off work for this appointment. Yay!

We will finally get to start buying your little baby things! I am probably a little over joyed about that part. In other family news, Iris and Gemma don't get along very much, but Iris is now sleeping in her kennel! She will be used to it by the time you are here, and that means a quite dog hopefully makes for a happy sleeping baby. Maybe, probably not. Also Iris is getting to the point where she is potty trained! That makes for a happy mommy. Also, both your Mimi and Grandma have been making all kinds of things for you! You are a very loved baby. Already.

You are such an amazing blessing. Keep growing in there, okay?

I love you
-Mommy

Facebook Status Week 18; Finally made my 20 week ultrasound appointment, and its for next week! Only real stuff going on was I can feel the baby rolling, but I haven't had my "moment" where it kicks or anything. I have a feeling it will be soon though. Only craving really is eggs. Other than that, I am trying to really eat healthy now. Which is hard because duh there is a steak and shake in our area now!

    1. Awh thank you! My goal is to get them all printed out and put in the baby book I'm making. Hopefully I continue to write letters (not every week, but perhaps every month) so I can give them all to him/her when they graduate.
